The Story Behind FlighTraq

While instructing ten rotating Army students alongside civilian students, I became concerned about how much instructional context was being lost between lessons.

Our training folders recorded grades and brief notes, but they didn't always explain why a student performed a certain way.
I worried that I might overlook an important weakness or miss a pattern in a student's development.

I wanted a way to preserve those observations, understand each student's progress over time, and make more informed decisions about what to teach next. That experience led me to create FlighTraq, a platform built around the needs and judgment of flight instructors.
